Global Advocacy – 2022 in Review
UrbanHub’s 2022 advocacy report showcases how we listened, mobilized, and advanced women’s rights in urban contexts.
- 1. Listening to Women: From tailoring and agriculture to digital services, participants learn vocations aligned with local opportunities.
- 2. Evidence-to-Action: We translated findings into policy briefs and actionable recommendations, like our May 2022 report highlighting Afghan women’s urgent needs and community voices
- 3. Advocacy in Action: UrbanHub trained local Change Agents to engage governments, civic leaders, and urban coalitions. Their campaigns addressed issues like conflict resilience, crisis recovery, gender-based violence prevention, and access to services.
- 4. Partnership & Influence: We joined global coalitions, co-led advocacy initiatives (e.g. coalition funding partnerships), and shared our data in key forums to elevate women’s power and investment in local movements
